Venture Capital is a capital which provides the early development funds for a project. Venture Capital may include seed capital (to develop an idea), start-up costs and early project development.

The distinction between venture capital and development capital is not precise, although typically development capital takes up where venture capital leaves off and it covers later stages where established businesses are being expanded.
