A) PURPOSE OF THIS STATEMENT
The purpose of this statement is to help you understand how we handle the information about you that we collect. This notice also tells you how you can control the disclosure of information about you.

When Business Money Pty Ltd "BM" shares personal information with potential credit providers or finance companies, it makes it easier to apply for credit or finance services from these companies. In addition, sharing personal information can help you receive timely notice about products, services or other special offers that may be of interest and benefit to you from BM or such credit providers or finance companies. BM applies the National Privacy Principles issued by the Australian Privacy Commission under the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth) and handles information gathered from customers in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.

B) PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
With the aim of keeping customer information secure, and using it only as our customers would want us to, BM follows the following privacy principles:

We will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and confidentiality, any information our customers share with us. We will also give our customers an opportunity to choose not to receive information about products from unrelated companies, and we will not disclose information about our customers for marketing purposes to unrelated companies unless our customers agree.

We will limit the collection and use of customer information to the minimum we require to deliver superior service to our customers, which includes advising our customers about products, services and other opportunities, and to administer our business. Unless you have previously agreed to allow us to share, or we are required by law or any regulators to give or share, information about you with others, we will permit only authorised employees to have access to that information. Employees who violate our Privacy Principles will be subject to our normal disciplinary process.

We will not reveal customer information to any organisation unless we have previously informed the customer in disclosures or agreements, have been authorised by the customer, or are required by law or any regulators.

We will always maintain control over the confidentiality of our customer information. We may, however, facilitate relevant offers from reputable companies. These companies are not permitted to retain any customer information unless the customer has specifically expressed interest in their products or services.

We will tell customers in plain language, initially and at other times as required by law, how they may remove their names from marketing lists. At any time, customers can contact us to remove their names from such lists.

Whenever we hire other organisations to provide support services to BM, we will seek to require them to conform to our privacy principles and to allow us to audit them for compliance. For purposes of credit reporting, verification, and risk management, we will exchange information about our customers with reputable reference sources and clearing-house services.

We will not use or share - internally or externally - personally identifiable medical information for any purpose other than:
(a) the underwriting or administration of a customer's account or (if applicable) an insurance policy or claim; or
(b) as disclosed to the customer when the information is collected; or (c) for a purpose to which the customer consents.

We will not disclose health information unless you agree or unless the use is directly related to providing the service for which we collected the information.

We will attempt to keep customer files complete, up to date and accurate. We will tell our customers how and where to conveniently access information about their account with us (except when prohibited by law) and how to notify us about errors which we will promptly correct.

Where we provide you with telephone advice, we keep a record of this. You can access records of advice and other personal records belonging to you by contacting BM Privacy Officer. We must provide you with a copy of our record of advice within 90 days of receiving your request.
